If Orbi device is flashing a purple light, it indicates that the router has lost an internet connection. If this happens, follow the below steps to troubleshoot this issue:

Try rebooting Orbi device and check if the router gets connected to the internet. Most of the time, a simple reboot can troubleshoot any connectivity issues.
If the issue is not resolved, check whether the router is properly connected with the ethernet cable. Check for any damaged or faulty wires.
If all the wires are working well, the problem can be on your internet provider’s side. In that case, contact the internet provider to troubleshoot the issue.

A reset can restore all Orbi settings to default and automatically troubleshoots many common Orbi issues.

Here are the easy steps to reset Orbi router:

• There is a reset button located on the back of Netgear Orbi Router. Find the reset button and make sure router is powered on while attempting the reset process.
• Use a needle, pin, or a paperclip, to long-press the reset button. One need to keep pressing the reset button for 20-30 seconds until the reset process begins.
• Release hold on the reset button once the reset process has started. The reset may take a few minutes to complete.
• Once the reset is done, Orbi router will restart on its own. If the restart does not occur automatically, unplug the router and restart it.

After the reset, Orbi login username and password will be restored to default. Use the default login credentials to easily login to Orbi router.

Device should be connected to the ethernet port of the Orbi network. Open the login page for the orbi router than click on the advanced option.In the advance setup click on port forwading than choose the port which you want to open.

In order to connect the orbi router with existing router you need to setup the orbi router as an access point.
